Privacypolicy

What we collect, why, and what we never see: your books stay on your computer.

Last updated 15 October 2026

Who we are

This policy covers the OSuite software, the website osuite.business and our licensing service, run by OfinIT (“we”). It is written under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What stays with you

The desktop edition keeps your company’s data (invoices, accounts, stock, customers and vendors) in a database on your own computer. We do not receive, store or have access to it. If you choose cloud hosting, we store that data on your behalf only to provide the service, and you can download it at any time.

What we collect

  • When you start a trial or buy: your name, email, phone number, company name and GSTIN, to issue and manage your licence and our tax invoices.
  • When OSuite checks its licence (every 14 days): the licence token, a fingerprint of the computer, the computer’s name, the OSuite version and the operating system, to prevent misuse of licences.
  • When you pay: the payment provider handles your card, UPI or bank details; we receive only the payment’s status and reference.
  • When you write to us: what you send, to answer you.
  • On this website: standard server logs (address, browser, pages requested) to keep it running. We do not use advertising trackers.

How long we keep it

Licence and billing records are kept while you are a customer and for eight years after, as Indian tax law requires for invoices. Website logs are kept for 90 days. Correspondence is kept as long as it is useful to support you.

Who we share it with

Only those who help us run the service, under contract: our payment provider, our hosting provider, and our email provider. We do not sell personal information, and we disclose it to authorities only when the law requires.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw consent where we rely on it, by writing to the grievance officer below. Records the law requires us to keep, such as tax invoices, are kept for the period it sets.
